Shelly's Painting Tips and Tricks - Turning Your Door Into Art

A door makes a great canvas for the budding artist in you... 

Here are some examples that may help you get inspired.

Make your doors an art statement...people will forget that they are actually functioning doors. 

Description of doors in order of appearance on page:

Slightly off rectangular colour blocking on a standard masonite door.

Standard sliding closet doors made to resemble riveted metal.  

This is actually a folding bi-fold door...but you cannot tell, can you? The art has been incorporated into the design so that the fold line in the middle becomes invisible.

The next time you think you have a boring room and want to spruce it up...try painting the door into art.

If you don't want to replace an older, uglier door, paint it into art.

I am not only the Designer/Decorator of these colour washed walls but I have done all of the work too.
