Then
colour blocking may be for you!
Here are some examples that may
help you get inspired.
Colour
blocking can be done in whatever block size you
choose.
Colour
blocking can be done with as many colours as you
want or as many colors as you have...
It is particularly fun for children's kids bedroom decor.

I am not only the Designer/Decorator of these colour blocked walls but I have done all of the work too. Unlike some Interior Designers, I actually do most of my own work.
These examples are no exception. They were all designed, developed and painted by me, Shelly Whitney.

Notice that the bookshelf and dresser have also been painted into
the color blocked theme...for a relatively seamless look. The bed,
being painted a completely different colour becomes the focal point
of the room. A pink bed cover was later added to perfect the bed as
a focal point in all of this color! |

A funky room for sure! The yellow and white stripe was
actually painted paneling - using the natural lines in
the paneling. No need for painting tape (well...almost!)
The door was painted with various colors and color
blocked shapes - like a piece of art! |

Blending color blocking and color washing (for a more
subtle effect) make this a fabulous effect. A yellow
color wash below the chair rail along with walls in blue
and green color washing. |
