The ideas for a baby nursery decor are endless (in my mind, anyway :-). They are an open blank slate - the nursery, I mean...

So, most times baby nurseries reflect the parents tastes and maybe even what they wish their baby to be or be like in the future.

Perhaps you would like your baby girl to be a ballerina, a little lady or maybe you dream of your baby son becoming a football player.

This may become the basis for your theme. Themes can also come from other places like particular animal themes, zoo animal themes, flower themes, insect (butterflies, dragonflies, bumble bees) themes, modern themes, retro themes, classical themes, and more.

If this is you, then one of the ways to decorate a baby nursery is to decide on a theme.

Once you have decided on a theme, the rest of the baby nursery decor can easily fall into place.

If you like the idea of a themed nursery, you should strongly consider choosing crib bedding with your chosen theme. This is probably the way to get the biggest bang for your buck - you get a lot of theme, and you need bedding anyway, right. Once the themed crib bedding is chosen, the rest of the room can build around the bedding - including paint colors, wall are decorations and window coverings.
